Chipsaway

Hi, I used our local #chips away franchisee to do a fairly small paint repair job on my front bumper, and a more serious scratch on the rear quarter.
The franchisee- Chris Constable came to my house and gave me a price for the job, I was happy with this and agreed to go ahead.
He turned upon time, was smart and approachable and appeared to do a great job which I was delighted with.
However, a month or so later, the repair to the front bumper looks appalling- its a real orange peel effect.
I have contacted Chris by e mail on 4 occasions, and then sent an e mail to the head office , I am getting no response at all which is extremely annoying.
I want this repair put right by Chipsaway under their guarantee -does anyone have any ideas what I can do next ?

Before commencing any action in the County Court it is necessary to write to the trader (the proposed Defendant) a letter advising him/her of your intention to take action in the small claims track in the County Court. Your letter should include :-
- The nature of complaint
- Details of how you want the matter resolved
- a time limit for a response i.e. 7 or 14 days
- indication of intention to pursue a claim in County Court

Chargeback is a process that allows you ask your card provider to reverse a card transaction if there is a problem with goods you have purchased..
Chargeback is not enshrined in law like section 75, but is part of Scheme Rules, which participating banks subscribe to. It applies to all debit cards, although exact rules may vary between the Visa, Maestro and American Express networks.
