Technically I think Avon don't like their stuff to be promoted alongside another business because the customer could get confused and think they're linked. They have some website/social media guidelines here: http://www.avon.uk.com/REPSuite/rep_guidelines_own-site.page

However... I know many reps do do hair/beauty/nails and use Avon products for those businesses, while also being an Avon rep.

Avon can't control what you put in with your brochures so I'd just be clear about the following on your flyer: that they're not Avon products and aren't covered by the same guarantee (unless of course you're offering the same guarantee as Avon does).
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Yes as IG says you'd have to be careful to show that your other business isn't endorsed by avon in anyway.

Car boots - we tried a few years ago, managed to sell cheap items (shower gels shampoo etc), but we had other stuff to sell too as had a big clear out of all our carp. If you have other stuff to sell worth a try, but don't do a car boot of just avon stuff, from our experience you might find it hard to cover your pitch cost & fuel let alone make a decent amount of money (we found people looked but said o ill get it from my usual rep).
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A

I know for us trendsetter reps, xmas is already in our brochures, but does anyone hold raffles to boost income?

I have already ordered a pamper pack, and thought about doing a few other items as prizes.

Has anyone done this kind of thing?

There are some legal issues to consider before running a raffle: http://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/gambling_sectors/lotteries/getting_a_licence-what_you__n/do_i_need_a_licence/circumstances_in_which_you_do.aspx

If people are being given free tickets it's a free draw. If they're paying for the tickets (I realise that might not be your plan anyway but some reps have had the idea to charge people for tickets) then it's a lottery. In your case it would be a customer lottery (scroll down a bit in the link above) and it wouldn't be able to make you a profit.

    Thanks for that!
  • Hi All,
Thanks for all your helpful hints on this thread, its really appreciated. My family are moving to a newly developed area in November and i was hoping to know if that area is already covered by an Avon sales rep. How can i check this? My SL is unhelpful.

Your ASM is the only useful person to go to anyway for new/extra streets (SLs can only allocate them for a very short space of time around sign-up). If you don't know who they are a SL on here should help you out if you provide your new postcode, or you can ask in the Business Development Talk section (it has to go in that bit so SLs can see it) on the Avon Connects forum. People frequently ask on there and SLs are quick to respond.

    Hi all,
Sorry I haven't been on here for a while - I'm only a friends and family rep now, so don't spend too much time on Avon
I've just been on to order from the summer sale and its all disappeared from my order page :( I thought it would have been there til midnight but i guess not?
Would anyone be able to give me the order code for the 'essentials pack' costing £3.99 - it had the argan oil hair mask and SSS bath oil plus a couple of other bits.
My mum loves the oil and my sister likes the mask so was hoping to grab a few for stocking fillers.
Would be great if someone could help! Thanks
I enjoy money-saving and am slowly entering the world of online earnings - aiming to pay for Christmas 2015 from extra income earned in 2015.
    So far: Bubblews £16.19 . Swagbucks £25, Neobux £1.29, Clixsense -.
Freebies/wins 2015: 2 x Convent Garden soup boosters, mini L'Oreal foundation, LG smartphone, mini Clinique face wash.

    Essentials pack code: 80499

Hope that works and there's enough stock left! I admit I won't have done my bit to help there because they appeared on the site the day after my C14 order went in so I wouldn't have got them for a few weeks. So I did an additional. :o
