Really sorry, Nicki, that you're having so many probs re. Avon at the mo - as Lozza says, try minimising the effort you put in to take a bit of a break and concentrate just on your better customers. (I often 'punish' customers for not ordering by starving them of a book.... No ideas if they even notice but it makes me feel better so guess that's something. :rotfl:)

Think there's a general lull at the mo, which makes me wonder if that's why Avon hold Live Your Dream, our SL Conference, at this time of year. Usually gee's SLs up. It's next week and am packed already :j Really looking forward to it although it's looking doubtful that one of my ladies can now go due to illness so chances are there'll be an empty seat and Avon deffo won't refund monies under any circumstances. :(:(:(

  • it is a shame they won't refund or substitute places - I know if i couldn't go for a legitimate reason I'd rather another SL I'm friendly with could go in my place. Especially as she is on the waiting list for a place - she missed out by 2 places and was gutted!

I did manage to get one of my newly qualified SLs in at the last minute - her place was confirmed on 28 July and she was 14th on the reserve list the week before......

If your friend can step in 'very last minute' then it's deffo worth speaking to Kellie Plant. I won't actually know for sure about my lady until tomorrow afternoon so this space, if it becomes free, will be VERY VERY last minute!!

Just starting doing avon. Would you suggest opening a separate bank account to pay all monies into and out of...instead of using my current account which has my salary and other bits in and out!

Definately n the separate account. Unfortunately I am not organised enough to do this but I can see the benefits. Use it for absolutely avon only and what's left in it is profit! Perhaps use it for fuel expenses too so easier to sort out for the taxman.

Good luck and hope you enjoy your time with Avon.

Can you just open another current account then? Sorry for asking lots of questions! Doesn't have to be a business account does it?

Yeah it shouldn't be a problem - just don't tell them it's for Avon use. We use Dh old bank account for just Avon stuff and don't have any trouble doing so - it makes it much easier, as we just pay everything into that account, pay the Avon bills, then we know everything left over is ours. Works well for us as we are usually saving towards something in particular rather than using it for everyday bills.

    Hi there

A little while ago I read on the forum that someone recommended keeping details of customers on the computer and just using the calling book for when you go out to collect books - it does get rather tatty!

Do many Reps keep computer records like this and if so how do you do it?

I think I am going to transfer essentially the calling book across on to a spreadsheet so that I have a neat copy to work from!

    Any ideas or comments?
    Many thanks

    Hi all,

Just coming to the end of my second campaign - been rather rushed due to a holiday and a trip to visit family so I'm currently trying to find myself some good value deals to bulk up my order and do for christmas pressies!

2 queries if anyone could help, please.

    1) In brochure 12, there are the 14 day starter sets free with any Anew product. There's an anew cleanser for £5 and an aftersun for £4.50. Does anyone know if the free gift is available with these too? Doesn't say otherwise so would assume so, but seems too good to be true! If anyones purchased this please let me know.

    2) I placed an order from brochure 11 in campaign 12 and have the vouchers. Only just noticed that they say no back ordering, does this mean that I can't get the brochure 12 offer in campaign 13? Seems a bit silly if not as I am sure many people's customers are still ordering from brochure 12 at the moment.

Would be grateful for any advice on these, really appreciate all the other tips on the thread - I've seen why Avon can be a good opportunity with a little bit of creativity!!

    Thanks,
    MK
I enjoy money-saving and am slowly entering the world of online earnings - aiming to pay for Christmas 2015 from extra income earned in 2015.

Freebies/wins 2015: 2 x Convent Garden soup boosters, mini L'Oreal foundation, LG smartphone, mini Clinique face wash.

MK - 1) Definately works with the cleanser as that's what I used. Very surprised as these are usually excluded.

    2) Probably means the customer cannot back order (to discourage this). Reps should be able to back order as usual. Unable to check vouchers as have none left.

Creative ordering is a wonderful thing ;)
