Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Can someone help me work out what a product is that I've been asked about? Its a nail strengthener of some form, but its not a nail varnish. All the customer could tell me was it was clear and it soaks into the nails. I have no idea what it could be or if Avon has stopped doing it and replaced it with something else. :o Thank you in advance! :D

If it's not a varnish, and it soaks in the nails - I'd hazard a guess at it being the pearl shine. Could be worth suggesting to your customer (mention the returns policy so that they know they can return it if unhappy).

It could be Strong Results (clear white) or Grow Potion (clear pink). Strong Results is in the C4 sale brochure.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Sorry, Lozza, am with I Geek on this one. :rotfl:There was a thread on AC fairly recently about how good one of these products was (can't remember exactly which one now :o) but they must have been available in C2/3 because I thought it a good idea to order one of each for my stock. I still have them Nicki so if they're sold out, let me know and I'll gladly post you mine.

Well done, peeps, I  this thread. :T

    We've had a mention (point 62)

    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/family/make-money#avon

Which I think is great :D However, I'm a bit concerned over the bit saying that dedicated avon ladies earn £100 - as to me, that implies even if you work really hard at it, that's the most you can hope you earn. Plus, it would be per campaign anyway, so 18 x £100, rather than per month being 12 x £100.

I've messaged to say my concerns, and that it would be better to not say a figure, but just leave it that the more you sell the more you earn as it might put some people off. I know it's not that common to earn more than £100 a campaign, but plenty of reps do, I know one who only sells to friends/family/network of people, and sells £2k of stuff each time!

Sorry, was working on the assumption that if it's not a nail varnish, that the customer might have meant that it wasn't in a nail varnish style bottle.

No need to apologise; the pearl shine may be right yet. :rotfl: It's a great product - really handy in this form of packaging as I've even applied it as I've been heading out the door... dries almost instantaneously. I also sold quite a few in C2 @ £1.99 :T (as well as keeping a few in stock at that price ;) )

Thanks for the 'heads up' on that one, Lozza (see you're on the ball as ever) :T. I'll also reply/comment back to them but need to head out now - which is the best email address to use do you reckon?

Oh no... I think this may be a mis-quote from me. :( I responded to some questions from an MSE employee but made very clear I was referring only to my situation. I said that some reps earn less and others earn considerably more. I also said that SL-ship brings in a whole different level of earnings if you're successful. The £100 figure was net and referred to monthly earnings (because I was asked for a monthly, not campaignly, figure). I assumed other reps were also being asked because as soon as I saw the question about earnings I knew it's like asking how long a piece of string is.

I'm about to have tea but will read the link tomorrow and put anything straight.

    I sent a message to

    MSE Becca

As she messaged me to find out a bit more about being an Avon rep before she wrote that bit.

Don't worry IG - have just re-read the info I sent her, and saw that I put that we earnt at least £100 a time (but that a lot of the time it's more), so I guess as 2 reps told her the £100 figure she's taken that as being a good figure to use?! Although as my figure is for me & hubby, I suppose you could say we only earn £50 each lol. I did also make it clear several times that it's hard to say an average earning. Hopefully they'll re-think that figure, if not I'm sure Avon would be keen to hear about it and would request it to be removed! Though not keen to go down that road, especially as it would draw Avon's attention to our helpful thread and that might potentially lead to problems.
