Can I unlock a Samsung S400i?

Hi - my daughter has bought at Samsung S400i on o2, but would like to use her Vodafone sim as it gives her free texts at weekends.
Does anyone know if it can be unlocked so it will accept the Vodafone sim?
At the moment when Vodafone sim is inserted it says "Wrong SIM".
All advice gratefully received.
