Depending how much you want to spend - if you buy some nice chunky wool, big needles and just do garter stitch - especially with a really nice yarn (e.g. http://www.colinette.com/sess/utn;jsessionid=1545a52e83800ee/shopdata/0020_yarns/0007_wools/0040_point+five/product_overview.shopscript), they can be really effective, and would be much appreciated.

Hi guys, just wanted to say that my family own a small knitting and sewing shop, selling just about anything you need or could want to do with knitting and sewing. I'm in the process of getting our website up and running (a bit late as the shops been open for about 20 odd years!) but if anyone needs anything we can send in the post. We do the scarf wool for £1 as mentioned above and loads of other stuff. PM me if you need more info - sorry if this "advertising" isnt allowed on this forum but thought it may help some of you?!!:snow_laug New to this, but learning ....:rotfl:0

I bought that new magazine this week to try again, my DAD taught me how to knit when I was a kid but haven't done any for years, haven't even picked up the crochet hook for about 6 years! So determined to give it a try again just haven't had the time yet.One day I might be more organised...........
