Quidco and Envirophone
Had an email from Quidco offering £150 cashback for new Orange customers- my contract with O2 isn't due for renewal until November but combined with finally being able to get rid of my iPhone which I HATE to Envirophone- I'm quids in!
Cashback: £150
Envirophone (iPhone 3GS 16GB): £138
-Less termination costs- £288-£101=
£177 better off!
Plus I've gone from a £35 a month contract to a £25 a month contract!
:T Hurrah for Quidco!

You are cheating. Normally you cannot be better off by terminating the contract early and by changing the handset.
Cashback (Orange or some other network) is very likely to be available in November and has to be ignored.
The correct calculation is -101+138+(35-25)*3=57 - saved by switching today.
However, if you waited till November and sold the old phone for, say, £90, it would be 0+90+0=90
So, you are £30ish worse off as against switching in November - because of the big termination fee.
Yes, cashback and selling the old phone reduce the costs of airtime and having a new handset. However, early termination increases the cost. So does frequent changing the handset even if counterbalanced by selling the old one.0
