Why can't I get 2560x1600 resolution on my Dell 3007WFP?

    Nothing for my specific monitor under Windows 7. DLed the Vista 64 application and that is nothing more than a application to dim the brightness via the control panel alas (which I read on the original User manual).

    Spoken to Dell who were as sharp as a marble.

    Could it be the cable perhaps? I just got a five quid one from eBay. PCWorld were charging £25 for a Belkin that didnt look much better.

    Yes, I was a bit suspicious when the size of the so-called driver download was 160kB or so!

    SOLVED: Found a pre-opened DVI-D dual-link Belkin cable in PC RipoffWorld and lo and behold, it works. It was the cable I bought on eBay - bloody rubbish!
