I have a XFX HD 4850 625M 1GB DDR3 DUAL DVI TV PCI-E graphics card which I is capable of running at a max of 2560x1600 resolution using a Dell 3007WFP monitor. I am running a dual-link DVI-D cable but I can't my resolution any better than 1280 x 800.
Am I doing something wrong?

As long as you have installed the XFX drivers, right click the desktop, click screen resolution, click advanced settings. On the adapter tab, click list all modes to see if 2560X1600 is there

Thanks for the obvious but when I click on the higher resolution on either Windows of the AMD Control Panel, it goes black.0 -
My AMD Card goes black for a few seconds then returns to the desktop and offers to keep the change or revert, or says out of range
Ask AMD is another obvious suggestion0 -
One assumes you have installed the Dell drivers which came with the monitor?0

On the AMD Control panel, have you got my VGA displays, properties, if so, is extended display identification data ticked?0

VGA? I'm not running VGA...this is what I am seeing0 -
Ran Windows Update and a Dell Bus and Controller driver did install but made no effect. There appears to be no drivers to be found on the Dell website...
(No guarantees that they will do anything, of course!)0 -
Does my digital flat panels have properties with the extended box?0
