I am sitting comfortably for the first time since a double knee injury and subsequent surgery over a year ago as I had one of these delivered last week -

I'd been sitting on a dining chair in the living room as our sofa is too low for me to manage.

It's got a power recliner as I can't use one where you push the reclining section down with your legs.

I can't tell you how much it's improved my life!
  • Thanks Suemaggie, it looks so like one John Lewis are selling for almost £1k.

I think the Celebrity range of recliner chairs are good value,Well made. They come in a range of sizes and there is a good range of fabrics.
Lazyboy's are good chair's well worth looking at.
DFS I would avoid,to many chops and changes in their ranges so long term parts supply is suspect, and you will need parts.

I am looking at the Supreme from DFS.
Why do you suggest people avoid that place?
The Supreme is super comfy, and so is the Lazyboy 'cool chair', also known as the Gibson.

Can't find anything like this, around 180cm long.

    Carefull i bought a electric recliner after a back injury , and 2 lot's of surgery(Kyphoplasty)
The problem being as the chair goes back,it stretches the spine,in my case not good.

Stressless - these chairs are exspensive, but you can adjust manually your position +footstall
    very nice. Jim

DFS dont offer a huge range of recliners,They change their ranges all the time(so I question parts supply in the future),And their designers and suppliers dont have the experiance of supplying disabled customers.

Lazyboy use good recliner actions, and are well known for recliner furniture, and the furniture is made to last.(good parts supply)

Celebrity Use good recliner actions, good parts supply, range of sizes and design and make furniture for the able/lessable in mind.good range of fabrics plus leather.

Now if you wanted a nice standard 3pc suite/corner sofa interest free credit, low delivery charge in a huge range of colours at modest prices I would say look in DFS or FV.

I have thirtyfive years in the furniture trade(master upholsterer)I have worked for DfS and many others;)

I don't know if this offer would be of any use to anyone but here it is just in case http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/national-deal/cool-furniture/726057

Just to add the Lazyboy chair and 3 seeter we have is excellent and worth every penny. Took a lot of saving and would not have managed without DLA. when I can get downstairs I know I can be comfy without having to have my position moved for a good 15 minutes.
