so go to pretty much every one else then.

Not So Sound advice Dave. Wanted it for the points. Everyone else tends not to give tesco points with purchases.

Hmmmm.. I think I'll have a go at opening a current account, and see if that appeases the Tesco / RBS credit Gods.

My mother applied for a Tesco card back along as a long standing RBS customer and flat NO. She'd run her RBS account very well with good balance and turnover.

First Direct subsequently welcomed her with open arms for a current account and credit card :o As did MBNA and Saga Platinum, as it goes :o

Sometimes people just don't fit into companies criteria.

The only time in 23 years I have been refused credit was with Alience and Leicester twice. I've had several loans and credit cards (including Tesco) over the years.

Tesco Finance now deal with Tesco card, but the payment system is still processed by RBS.

I have read that Tesco can be very picky when it comes to customers, I believe you defiantely need to be on the electoral role or it is instant refusal.

ill try applying again, see what happens.
How many applications have you made? And at what intervals? If the latest was very recently you'd be better appealing the rejection than applying again...especially since the Tesco re-apply time is around 6-8 months from memory.

Its over 8 months since I last applied. But The first time applied, Im pretty sure I didnt leave it 8 months before trying again, which could explain the "repeated" rejection.
