  • After years of juggling kids, housework, work and a hubby I now think Im rebelling!!

It doesnt matter any more that the house is a mess because the consequence of an untidy house was a good beating. That consequence has now gone! BUT now I just feel really guilty and annoyed with myself that I havent done it.

Today I got up at 8, got showered and dressed, took the dog for a walk, put the dishwasher on and taken some filo pastry out the freezer and that is it!!Ive got to go to work at 3 and the house isnt getting any tidier! The pup has had a field day shredding toilet roll and its everywhere, but as of yet ive not cleaned it up. But I will after ive finished my coffee!!

Going to set my online egg timer and do some 20 minute cleaning bursts before I go to work.

Hummm rather peed off now that ive wasted an entire morning doing !!!!!! all!

    Hi everyone
Another day off work here so I've caught up with the ironing this morning. Going to take DS and get the rest of his school uniform this afternoon and then probably do a bit more 'tidying' in DDs room before I get dinner.
Juliapenguin I don't think you could ever put a price on spending quality time together and my mum always used to say to me "you always seem to manage on what money you have coming in". Was certainly true for us in the early days when DH was earning next to nothing ! Some of our best evenings were spent having beans on toast for dinner and cuddling up on the sofa under a quilt because we were too skint to have the heating on ! Your mental health is really important and I think if you can find that 'happy medium' you'll be happier and more productive.

    Sorry, I've waffled a bit haven't I? lol

Have a good day everyone, catch up later x
