That journey will be possible with other operators if you still wish to make the journey.Thanks for the advice everyone - the journey is Heaton Chapel (Stockport) to Ravenglass (in Cumbria) with Manchester Piccadilly to Barrow in Furness being the TPX leg of the journey. The connections are Northern Rail

It is likely that Northern will agree to carry passengers on their services. Obviously it's difficult for me to say more than that given I do not know the times you are travelling, and we do not yet know the impact of the strikes (your train may yet operate!), and we do not yet have confirmation of ticket acceptance.0
