Are you a expert in this field? What qualifications do you have to tell me this? There must be some legal way around this.

You have come onto this forum expecting advice for free, which people will give you out of the goodness of their heart (you're attempting to sell Christian literature so presumably you understand that concept?) and you have the cheek to ask this? Lots of people on this forum have a wealth of experience and expert knowledge on consumer law, but if you are going to reject their advice on the grounds that they may not have qualifications, perhaps you should have gone to a solicitor and paid for advice?

Its not a case of not wanting them, its a case of them charging me for them when they havnt been used and they are sitting in my garage waiting for them to collect them! There must be someway of returning them. If I havnt sold them - the idea was to sell them online but they havnt been sold online so therefore I should be able to return them and not be charged!

It's a case of them charging you for goods you bought from them ?

It's not their problem you haven't sold them or they are unused. How would you feel if you did sell one, then a month later the customer emailed you "I still have this book, I haven't read it due to other committments, can I return it?".

On the plus side though OP, you have learnt a very valuable lesson- when starting a new business, it is very unwise to buy stock on credit!
(As it 'appens, I do have some expertise, having run a successful mail order business for a little over 6 years).

What? No, thats ridiculous. When starting a business cash flow will be one of your biggest problems so being able to obtain credit may well be one of the most useful tools -- finding a supplier that would offer it to a brand new business is a whole different story.

I think the lesson learnt here is before you start meddling in B2B transactions make you you read the temrs and conditions, understand the law, its requirement and your obligations and rights under it.

Op is showing a significant lack of knowledge in basic consumer protection legislation which they will no doubt HAVE to know about in order to sell their products.

Failing to prepare is preparing to fail! Remember that op ;)
