Banks on Credit File

Options
If I close my bank accounts in branch will it be taken off my credit report or just marked as "settled" ? At the moment they are showing £0 Balance even after I closed them, this is because my file hasn't been updated yet..

Also, how many CREDIT ACCOUNTS opened on your report can put of a lender...

I owe no money to anyone...My overall credit Balance is zero

They'll be marked as closed/settled and then will stay on your file for 6years from the date you closed them.

Settled credit accounts (assuming they were managed well) won't put off lenders.

Open credit accounts - its not the actual total number that will put off a potential lender - but they will take into account how much available credit you have when assessing whether to lend you more. If you have opened a lot of new accounts recently in a short space of time this would also potentially put off a lender.
If you have several open unused credit card accounts (probably more than 3) then a credit card lender might be less likely to accept you for a further card.
