I wish I only had light washing
I have a husband that comes home covered in oil and 2 boys that attract dirt for fun - and I don't think anything in the world can keep my boys whites white, lol.
Maybe when they've all left home (inc hubby) I'll get some

Just a quick update,
Have now been using the Soap Nuts for about 2 weeks combined with Lavender essential oil. I cannot honestly tell the difference between expensive washing powder and am finding my colours are not running unlike with most of the powders I have used in the past. As said earlier I ordered a 1kg bag from Salvio Wellness online, they also send samples if requested.
Extremely pleased with the product and service. Estimated savings (with eco-dryer balls) compared to powders and softeners = MASSIVE0 -

Thanks for that ... I love the way its so eco friendly and yet we can make huge saving as well!!
Reckon one bag will last for AGES , especially as you can re-use them :j:j
I'm glad I've pretty much done all my stocking up now , washing 'detergents' = sorted , stain remover = sorted ( Ariel ) oil 5l = sorted , rice 5kg = sorted , toilet rolls = done , pasta = loads now just need to get some meat for the freezer and some cheap bags of spices and I'll just have to buy milk , bread , cheese , eggs and veg every week!
lol
Methinks I just have to stock up on some beans now , got plenty of tea bags and even the odd bottle of wine so can batten down the hatches for a few of the winter months ahead!!!
( This is the first year I have ever though about bulk buying to save money but its nice to know things like the washing is covered for a GOOD few months ahead now at least ) :j0 -
Am sure you will save far more money by using a 30 degree wash and using half liquid quantity for lighter soiled loads.
I imagine soap nuts are about done after only one wash.0 -

Jasmine oil is amazing & I reckon orange blossom oil will be nice in clothing , freesia oil would be lovely , rose isn't very strong so any fruity fragrances would be nice too like apple or lime & am sure you could combine them!
Most fabric conditioners now contain essential oil fragrances now , mostly floral fragrances like peony0 -
I found the soapnuts I trialled lasted for 5 washes; others might find they do more but it said 3-4 on the info leaflet I got so I was happy
I found they were good. I thought they were better on towels, delicates, woolens etc than standard powder/ liquid. They weren't good for removing stains but ho hum, I didn't expect them to be. Sealed Pot Challenge #1666 - up for raising as much as poss
