Big ((hugs)) sweetie. I know exactly how you feel. We've had a couple of things on recently that we've been to but it has been a bit spoiled for me because I had in the back of my head how I should have had a nice bump at them and not drinking etc.
Reallly really not looking forward to Christmas
xx
Another one who knows how you feel. I should have been 4 months at Christmas, and based on previous experience would have had a reasonable bump. In my head when I got the BFP, I had already imagined how this Christmas would be, what I would be wearing, and the fact that we would be telling extended family the news around this time. I had this vision in my head of sitting by the fire with my bump, opening presents with the other children. All sounds so shallow, but its all part and parcel of having already planned life with the new baby in it, and then having to readjust to the fact that they are no longer there.0 -

It's horrible isn't it. I'd have been over six months so would have had a lovely bump and I was the same, imagining myself with our families, everyone all excited about the baby, my little nephews wanting to feel the baby kicking.
I'm so so sorry there are so many of us that will not be able to enjoy christmas without thinking "what if"

Ditto, I have always loved Christmas and was really looking forward to it. We have now cancelled Christmas and have asked our closest not to get us anything, we will also be staying at home pretending it's not happening.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

I know I've not experienced a loss, so it's not the same at all, but I too was imagining the same things for Christmas this year. I just can't get festive.
I don't even know if MIL will be home in time, or how much help she'd need to come over, or anything...
Bah. I just want my baby

hullo, can I predict 8 for this month please.
Nothing going on here at the moment, although going to have an 'early night' tonight. Hope I'll be in the right mood as got to put the xmas decorations up at our club tonight, it takes forever (ok maybe an over exageration, but 2 days). Went up in the loft at work yesterday to get a couple of trees down and found we have 7 trees up there!!! they are breeding I'm sure of it.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -

You don't need to experience a loss to have a loss of what you thought would be ( not sure if that is even proper English)Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Could you afford, and would you be able to go away for a few days kittenpie?
I know it isn't on anywhere nearly the same scale as what you have been through, but my first baby was due on Christmas Eve and we discovered at 17 weeks that I had had a MMC. We decided not to do Christmas that year, and for the first and only time ever, we went abroad on holiday (to the Gambia) and ignored the whole event. Much to my surprise we were able to relax and enjoy the sunshine and the change in scenery, and we had a much nicer time than you might have expected, and definitely better for us than being at home would have been. That was back in the day when the Gambia was a really cheap destination. Not sure what it is like now, but a last minute deal to somewhere hot might make what is going to be a difficult time anyway just that bit easier?0 -
Zippy, is that chocolate fudge cake?! Yum yum yum yum! :EasterBun
Kitten is right. That saying "you can't miss what you never had" is utter b*llocks!

Nicki has a good suggestion there!
I too wanted to cancel Christmas this year (DH not at all keen on the idea!) so I can only imagine how you and OH are feeling about it, Kitten.
I really truely hope that this time next year we will all have our forever babies and be very excited about Christmas.
