Hi Gemmzie - do you mean pregnancy tests or OV tests? If it's a pregnancy test first thing in the morning is best, although if you don't drink anything for a few hours then your wee should be concentrated enough to test. If it's an OV test, then during the day is best, again you have to make sure your wee is concentrated by not drinking for a couple of hours before you test.
If it's a pregnancy test, you won't usually get a reliable result until you are 14 days past ovulation.
Good luck testing!0 -
tea and cupcakes its always fun to have a reason to be grumpy
i constantly think i'm pregnant, i'm really tired atm and that can't possibly be because i've been going to the gym more, oh no, must be secret baby
i swear to god these 'i didn't know i was pregnant' stories do more harm than good, they make ladies like us crazy! :rotfl:
Looks like it's a 42 day cycle, which is good in a way cos i've booked my very first smear (eeeep!) for a week on monday which if i had a 35 day would be CD1. instead it'll be 7dpo and a distraction from symptom spotting and i might have already googled and the NHS site says they're ok to have during pregnancy so can't be bad for ttc
DH is proud as his swimming seems to be paying off. BDed last night and he went 'look i'm not out of breath now! must be getting fitter' then was disappointed it was advantage he couldn't be smug about on FB, so i said i'd tell you nice ladies who'd appreciate it :rotfl:
It's his birthday on Monday, which also happens to be my predicted Ov time so he should have no excuse. but just to seal the deal, i've booked a posh hotel room.
....
have i told you ladies that before? i feel like i have but couldn't see any posts from me that recently.
i'm clearly going nutso x x
Oooh have a brilliant time! We are just back from a lovely hotel break, it was sooo relaxing! We just went for one night, but had a really nice dinner, a relax in the spa, drank champagne in our room and had non TTC sex0 -
thanks, i'm really looking forward to it as our favourite posh steak place (grill on the alley in manchester) has just started doing roast dinners. it's 33 quid for two people so not exactly cheap, but we're both really looking forward to it
beggar is though, i meant to buy his presents using my account so he wouldn't know how much i've spent and i've just realised that i've used the joint account so he'll know! it's all from amazon so he won't be able to tell from ID on the debit but knows the password to my accountLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

All this talk of spa hotels is making me think a night away would be a great idea... now I just need to decide whether to take OH with me
Would love a nice relax in a hot tub.... off to google for some bargain hotel rooms.0 -
PG test. I won't be eating or drinking for a few hours because I'm being sick a lot today - think it's the new painkillers I've been put on. But might leave it until tomorrow morning, just to be sure. ThanksNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Tea Lover i don't know how far away you are from a hilton but they seem to be doing deals if you want a bit of luxury. the room we booked was only 70 quid on a sunday night, the one on Deansgate so DH can go straight from the hotel to work x xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Ooh cheers for that I'll have a look. We're right in the middle of the midlands so not usually too far away from these things.
Really should stop spending money though. Have bitten the bullet and decided to get the drive sorted. It really needed doing last year but we keep putting it off and it's in a right state now... the puddles and holes are so deep it's hard to get out of the car lol. Will be lovely when it's done, just a shame it will make such a dent in my savings.0 -
