Code - the 'oh my God, what have I done' reaction is 100% normal even when the pregnancy is planned! It lasted for ages with my last pregnancy despite me being desperate for it!
And yes, I would feel frustrated in the situation you describe. But, like you, I am VERY pro-choice and its not jealousy I would feel in that situation. I wouldn't be jealous of someone who felt their best choice was to have a termination. They deserve lots of love and support, especially at such a young age.

TeamLowe - I have quite a short cycle in relative terms so i can't complain too much....but ov'ing so late in my cycle is still very annoying! What I wouldn't give to make suitable CD13 eggies! Lol!

    Oh, and GO MURRAY!!!!

thanks lm. I should point out that i am in no way jealous of that poor girl. It must have been a really tough decision to make at her age. It just seems really unfair that there are so many people trying unsuccessfully and then it happens to a 16 year old girl based on a single screw up.

TeamLowe. yup. very jealous of the short cycle ladies. I dont ov until after cd17 and have a 16 day lp and it adds up. Means they get more attempts than me per year.

do i need to go see the dr again as i am using the green ov tests which they say the nhs give you so do i need to buy the sensitive ones ie the pink ones or do i just give up with the opks?

on the abortion front my sister had one when i was 15 and i wanted a kid then and i know its a difficult decision but its not one i could make! i know i could never do that!

Code - I know, I'm sorry. I know you wouldn't be jealous, sorry if I implied that in anyway. It wasn't intentional. I really really hope you get your bfp soon. You and QQ are now my top2 ladies :)

    atton, glad to be back:wave:
Seems like ov is nearing for you, hope you'll catch it:j
Remember some never get a clear positive, but something that's close enough:cool:

You don't have to hold your pee for 2hrs, only stop drinking for 3 hrs:o

Good luck at the doctors on Tuesday. Is it an ovarian cyst?
Glad all your blood tests were normal, don't know about chin hair. Do you have a lot?
As for stress, a bit of gentle exercise usually puts me into a good mood:o
    lilymay, yay for Peak:j
Perhaps you are one of those people who only gets a short LH spike rather than a surge? Either that or your pee was not concentrated enough for the opk?
RazWaz, good luck with the donor:) Ideally you should have another session tomorrow, but fingers crossed your donor has super sperm:cool:
TeamLowe, fingers crossed you are one of those people who's gets pg as soon as they get the appt with a FS:cool:

heh lily, i dont know why but I feel like we should get our BFPs together. maybe its because we're cycle buddies.

atton opks will only stay positive for a short time so maybe you're missing the peak. try more sensitive ones and if they dont work just keep the bding going.

Feeling a bit down about TTC today, maybe it's the 2WW, but I've ordered some OPK tests as I'm not convinced I'm OVing at all. So hopefully they'll give me a better idea of what's going on.

Not cool QQ. Dont be showing me stuff that reverses the effect of spending loads of money on new clothes... :rotfl:

Ah bless you. At this stage I've spent so long thinking it wont happen and seeing blank tests or v. faint evaps that if I ever did see a 2nd line, I'd be found on the bathroom floor having fainted. Or having a massive "what have I done freakout".

Obviously I want everyone in here to get their BFPs as soon as possible. Even the queue jumpers. I dont want anyone else to go through this.

atton - maybe try epilating or bleaching.

Was talking to a friend of the family yesterday. She has a 16 year old daughter who has recently had an abortion. I dont wish to go into the argument about it. I am strongly pro-choice and agree that was probably the best decision for the girl but...apparently she messed up her pill and got pregnant to a guy she was having a casual fling with, the first or second time they did it. Its like living in a world where you just get to eat porridge, and there's a raffle for treats and you never win but keep hoping its your time. Some or all of your friends win and you're happy for them, but you cant understand why you dont get a doughnut or a chocolate bar too. Then one day, someone wins the raffle and gets your favourite thing, but its not right for her so she throws it away. Very unfair system when you know that if you'd won the raffle instead of her you'd be really happy and she wouldnt have had the pain.

I couldn't agree more with you codemonkey re: wanting everybody to get a BFP - I'm the first to admit that sometimes I find it difficult hearing other people who haven't been trying very long get their BFPs, and I do get a teeny bit jealous/upset, but when I really think about it, I wouldn't wish the ups and downs of ttc on anybody really, and I would love to have got a BFP quickly, so why wouldn't I want anybody else to have that?

Big ((hugs)) to anybody struggling with ttc at the moment. It can be really hard work! I second QQ - let's all get pg before Christmas :D

I like the raffle analogy codemonkey - I feel a similar way about DH's cousin who has just found out she is pregnant. I wouldn't wish to be in her situation - teenager on her own, no financial stability etc. I know she will make the best of the situation, and I'm sure she will be a great mum, but it still feels a bit like she has won the raffle but didn't really want the prize!

On a lighter note, I totally heart the Olympics!! Go Murray and Robson!! I postponed our spa hotel booking (going tomorrow now) because I realised I wanted to watch tennis on tv all afternoon and didn't want to waste the spa hotel booking by being glued to the tv in our room all day :rotfl:

((hugs)) Gemmzie - 2ww can be very frustrating! I find it good to keep busy with other things so I don't have too much time to dwell on ttc!

Am I right in remembering that you recently had the implant taken out? It can take a few months for your body to readjust after coming off hormonal contraception, so it might take a little while to have regular ovulation and regular cycles. It's perfectly normal though so try not to worry too much (I know, MUCH easier said than done). :o
