Loads of Grats skintchick
Hi all,
Loads to catch up on here, only did a late to ealry shift.
Asked OH what he would like to do this weekend. He said "make babies" lol. Might take him up on the offer.
It must be the warmer weather0 -
Ooohhh 9dpo & I haven't had my obligatory Pre AF meltdown in Asda yet (for those that are new I tend to break down & cry at the customer service desk when theyve run out of something I want). Although I do feel quite grouchy (although that could be lack of sleep due to covering 2 sets if hours at work). Bfn at 7dpo (sorry QQ
) just in case I ov'd early :rotfl:

blacksta - how long are your wifes cycles normally? If temp starts going down sometime after ov it usually means AF is on the way :S
Or perhaps QQ is right and she didnt ov when FF says she did and is going to now..
Sorry about (potential) CD1 tealoverThe first onset of CD1 is always really depressing, im not looking forward to it and whats worse, DH is away on business trip when Im due
Really hope I have good news for him when he gets back..
I have just had my appt letter for my ultrasound - its transvaginal! GAAHH
I was hoping for overbelly stuff, Im feeling quite sensitive down there already thinking about it. Has anyone had a transvaginal US before - is it better, same as, or worse than a smear test?We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

Good job I've got an emergency aero in my bag and the sun's still shining
In my world I think I'd need an emergency aero then an emergency McDonalds!
In a way, if AF is coming for you I hope it comes tomorrow so you'' be able to do the appt and hopefully it wouldn't be too late to get OH booked in too.
Anyone got any tips for keeping your mind off "am I pg....am I not pg....maybe I should test....if I'm not and I never get pg we can always adopt......think positive you might be pg.......ooo, was that an AF twinge......"??!!
LilyMay - do you maybe need to reset the CBFM for a bit earlier - you only have a 6 hour window?
Blacksta - you make me chuckle! Its great to have a man's view on some things on here.

Hugs for CD1 Tink
Your daughter is a cutie though!
Slept without my eyemask on last night and sure enough I was awake at the crack of dawn since the room was so bright! If it makes me OV do I keep it off for the rest of my cycle now?
Claire, I think we'll be getting a villa or staying in a hotel outside of Disney! OH and I really want to stay on site but this year they're not doing the free dining plan offer so whichever way I fiddle it it's going to cost silly money to get the package we wanted... My Mum and Dad are away for 2 1/2 weeks (in Florida actually, although they're going to the coast. They're addicted to the place, think they plan on just not coming home from there one day!;)) so we'll discuss options when they get back. I'm excited, just want to get a holiday booked now! We've got a back-up planned too in case this falls through which is 2 weeks in the Dominican Republic!
Leopardlady, that sounds so confusing about you gaining a day! Hope you get a lovely BFP
villa sounds good = private pool! Im going on holiday in October too, cant wait- although the weather here right now is helping!Oooh fab! We had our honeymoon there last year, it was amazing! Make sure you go to guest services in the Disney parks and get a Just Married badge, everyone looks out for them and congratulates you, it's lovely! It helped that I wore the bride Minnie ears (complete with veil) too!We loved it so much we would be quite happy to go back every year. OH wasn't too bothered before going (I'd been a few times when I was younger) but now whenever we talk about going on holiday somewhere he's like, 'Or... for the same money we could go to Florida, and why wouldn't we want to do that?!'
We're hoping to go in October for Halloween.
My friend has been there for Halloween and one of the parks I think Universal does some creepy themed night? You can watch clips on youtube. She loves horror films but was too scared to go to it lol! Ill be in the US but unfortunately leaving on Halloween -which is a shame as its such a fun holiday there.
congratulations Skintchick!!!:T:T:T
Blacksta maybe your wife is about to ov??0 -

Went looking for some info on soy isothingys and found this. Apparently eating peas should be avoided as in some cultures they are used as contraceptives. Also do not sweep or dust around your bed around ovulation as it interferes with your feng shui
What a good reason to not Hoover the bedroom lol!If at first you dont succeed, try, try again0 -
Hello ladies (and gentleman)
Hugs Tink for CD1, hope you manage to treat yourself to something nice? Your daughter is adorable, I need to get myself one of those!
Tea lover - sounds silly but I hope CD1 comes for you soon so your appointment can go ahead as planned (or that it clears up to nothing) and that having a look-see at your tubes will give them a good kick-start (my reproductive system didn't do a damned thing until a surgeon gave it a good squeeze so hopefully it'll work for you)
Mogwai - I may just be very used to pelvic exams by now but I didn't find the transvaginal ultrasound too bad, they just put the rod (with a condom on) at the beginning of your vagina, not all the way up by your cervix. It was better than a belly one because you don't have to be desperate for a wee for it to work. I thought it was nicer than a smear as well because the ultrasound room is quite dark I didn't feel so naked. hope that helps a little
zcrat - there is no way! - I like to give myself a big project: planning a holiday, re-organising a room in the house, decorating, making something tricky so that I'm totally absorbed and don't notice when AF does (or doesn't) arrive. (I really hope they're good twinges for you!)
No sign of ov here but its still early days, hopefully it'll be a go for our holiday next week, then we'll have plenty of time to make a baby.
QQ - I'm really excited for your IVF appointment for you, no need to be nervous it'll be great and this will be the cycle and when you look back on it with a baby in your arms you'll want to have been happy and excited from the very first day

mmmmm emergency aero sounds good to me, munch munch. Just had a salad for my tea.
OH got off better than it could have been at court, though not very happy at the wonderful £550 fine he got. 2 weeks wages down the pan. :C. Added to the fact that while they have changed his shift his overtime is down, equals skintsville.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
Evening all
Hugs to those who need them, Tink for CD1 xxxx
I hope you don;t mind me still being here. I was going to post pix of my tests but I can;t get into Photobucket
Did a Boots test today as my digi had lost it's words, and that way I have one to keep. It was very reassuring seeing the line come up immediately!
I thought I might post my symptoms in case it helps anyone else.
Bear in mind that my luteal phase is 18-20 days, so I tested at 18dpo, which is far later than most people start testing! But I think if you can hold on it is better. I found I was much more sane this time than when I kept testing and testing every day or so.
Anyway, in terms of symptoms about a week before my BFP I noticed my Montgomnery's Tubercules were more visible. THis is usually my failsafe sign. I think most women don;t see these until they are PG, but mine have stayed visible since DD I think because I am still breastfeeding her. Because of that I don;t get sore boobs when PG as my breasts don;t need to be primed for breastfeeding - they are already doing it. But my Montgomery's Tubercules do ger more visible and more in number.
My areolas also darkened a bit and got a bit larger, witht eh edges being softer than usual, like blurred.
I felt ill! Just a bit under the weather, slightly runny nose.
I was sooo tired (still am!). This again is a failsafe sign for me. On the Saunday before I tested I had to go to bed and zonked out for over two hours in the afternoon!
I also started to get a funny taste in my mouth just a few days before testing, and to feel a bit sick at random times of the day.
Hope that helps someone.
I definitely do think it worth waiting to test. I had more symptoms the longer I waited, and I got a nice BFP instead of a TLP requiring squinting lol.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

My cycle has not been as stable as i would like recently, so will just have to stay strong! Pizza for tea tonight, mood swings and emotional! Lucky OHLeopardlady
