I know what you mean, I had to keep stepping back from this thread over the years (I would like to acknowledge my problems werent fertility related so its different i know) especially when some were coming back to the thread for the next one and we still felt no closer to 'the dream'
Yep, I'm finding that now  And I'm fully aware I'm not one of the longest on here :o

Superdrug ones are good, as are the poundland ones both of which have given me positives days before AF due !
Mishkanorman - How many days before AF you used the poundland test? How far along in your pregnancy you are? Hope you have a beautiful and uneventful pregnancy!

Thanks for the link! I will need to find out how much the postage costs I might order some for next cycle. Lucky you that you have friends that work in a&e :D:D:D.

    Ikke - Thanks for reply.

Leopardlady When are you planning to test? I'm 9DPO as well.

Im an early tester, I would pee on a stick all month long if they were free - to me its like scratchcards, you know full well you arent likely to 'win' but you do it anyway :o

With this current pregnancy my IC's (10miu) were showing faint lines at 8dpo, not becoming clear until 11/12 dpo. (you could see the line when dry but it had to be good lighting)

With the poundland ones last time round IIRR it was about 5/6 days before.

I know not everyone agrees that its healthy to test so early though, and I have picked up a chemical pregnancy I probably wouldnt have known about if i left well alone, but I used to work in a bar where a few drinks after shift were the norm twice a week. No way would I want to do that even the slightest bit pregnant.

I am now 10 weeks, and still peeing on the odd stick just to check :rotfl:

  • Hi Ladies,

I am on DPO 9, or CD28 of a usual 29 day cycle. I have very sore boobs, they feel like they are stretching and growing. I am not sure if it is worth getting excited. The crazy thing is, that if i am successful this month then i will be due the week of my LO's second birthday!

Oh well, good luck ladies, I am going to hold out at least a day or two before testing, first off i have to go back to work after two weeks off, so all mayhem and stress i feel is on its way. So i will try and get on here to let you know and to see how you are all doing.

Funny you should say that - i am currently debating NOT trying during March (boohoo) because due to when i should be OV, baby would be due 3 days after my 7yr olds birthday. And his birthday is only 3 days after mine! And i am SO blinkin sensible with money, i was thinking that it would be far too expensive a month to have another birthday in!! Also, i kind of wouldnt wanna rain on the parade of my little boys birthday!! :o
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

Thanks for reply. My worry if I test too early is exactly what you said...what if I detect a chimical pregnancy? Too stressing the whole thing :(.

If you sit and stress the 'what if's' of pregnancy you will drive yourself crazy ;)

When i picked up the chemical, I had a pos a few days before AF was due and AF came bang on due date so times after that I knew to be cautious.

Interestingly those discussing due dates, my EDD is the day after my DS1's birthday - oops !

All you guys talking about due dates being near your childrens birthdays if this was the month etc, there was a convo a few pages back about having a peak month of fertility per year so children having birthdays around the same time. Not true in my nans case as she had April June July and my Mum had March and August, my mc was due in March but now I'm due in October but I'm wondering if it's like when you have women sharing a house and over time their periods regulate so that they have their cycle at the same times x
