He won't look for PT work, he didn't pick us up from the airport as promised today, he just wants fun all the time, and occasionally goto uni. He has his own car and pay for his very basics to goto uni. He has squandered 2K of his long term savings.
If you have any advice or tips for helping me sort this lazy lump out, I would be gratefulAn average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

what helped me mature alot was working but i gave that up to concentrate on my studies and because i felt i was being bullied by my team manager. Yet you said he doesn't want to look for work, i guess thats a problem, to do well in any job you need to 'want' to work so he may get a job really hate it and get sacked. The problem is with teenagers most of the time we dont listen to parents, we've all done it. what i have learnt in my time is that I learn from mistakes for example. I was drinking heavily a lot due to my state and my dad told me to watch it and be careful but with my arrogant teenager attitude i got well drunk and made an !!!! of myself in front of a lot of people and pretty much messed up the holiday. I felt i've learnt from my mistakes. Another mistake i made was i bought my moped when i was 16 and i didnt fork out for protective trousers and 10 months later I fractured my leg and was incapacitated for 6 weeks. So my best advice is warn him about what could happen if he does continue to be lazy and leave him to his own devices and see how he copes. what you should do is leave him on his own for 1 week or 2 and leave him with the responsibilty of looking after the house, that might help his maturity.
good luck

We left the house last year and he had an illicit party.
He was so mature and worked hard in his early teens. It is since we moved here he has got more and more lazy and horrible. He earned a lot of his possessions by doing a lot of doing up the house and behaving well. So not lazy that way then but since the house has been done up, he hasn't looked to earn more money and spent the money we said NEVER to be spent till he leaves home and for a deposit on his own place.
He has been found out in lies too. He is buying his layabout friends too.
My mother, who he used to worship and was close to, as she looked after him when he was small and my husband aren't being harsh enough. When I am harsh or tough, I am overruled, so I have to watch his take the pss out of us!
If I had been a single parent I would have been pretty tough.
I know there are worse teenagers but his behaviour is driving us ALL to distraction!:mad:An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:
