This is probably a stupid question but I am worrying about it...:o My sick note runs out at the end of this week. I am seeing the doctor on Tuesday and I don't feel at all ready to go back to work. Should I wait til tuesday or get OH to ring up and get an extension?
Am a bit self obsessed today sorry.
Lucky peeps with snow - Nupping here!
love pumpkin xx
Get OH to phone up, as I don't think they backdate?
I understand from the post, if you go Tuesday, GP will have to backdate as runs out this week?
Wouldn't take the chance0 -
My brother is 32 & his so down in the dumps, I am at my wits end with what to do with him. He is in a job he hates & so is desperate to get out but he moans that he'll be unemployed then he'll lose his flat if he leaves without getting a new job or if he temps he wont be offered anything. Not sure if this is right place to post or if anyone can help point me in the right direction but I feel myself getting depresssed after trying to make him enjoy life & look at the positives (which I know can be few & far between).
Sorry for the rant

Hi ethel hun!:hello:
45 minutes and counting before I leave!!! Most of the county under 4 inches of snow, all the schools are closed, even DS's college in Stratford is closed. I was just waiting for that phone call - begging might be more appropriate;) - cancelling it.
But no. My local hospital is working fine
and my CPN :A is driving in all the way from Leicester to take me! He's going to wait for me and hopefully bring me home. That's all right - I'm not in the car yet!!! I don't have to open the door...
Anyway guys, sniff -sniff, guess I'd better be off.
Thanks for the love - thinking of you - wishing YOU were here:D - sob, sob... most of me will see you later I hope! :rotfl:

Hi Miro your gum could be hurting because it is infected hence the antibiotics, there may not be anything wrong with your teeth or maybe the dentist has to fix the infection before he can fix your teeth. The pain should ease quite quickly now you have the antibiotics.0 -

Don'y worry about rant - and it isn't really a rant.
For your brother - get him to be proactive about things. Start applying and looking for jobs, register with agencies. You always seem to have better odds at getting a job when you are employed. Does he like the type of work or does he want to change direction? If he wants to change then he might want to look at evening classes for some qualifications.
It is hard supporting a depressed person, it is very draining at times.
Do cling to the positives no matter how small.Hug provider for depression thread :grouphug:

Hi emylou, welcome,it may sound obvious but the answer is for your brother to look for another job while he is still in the present one.He could use his holiday entitlement to go for interviews.I know you want to help your brother but sometimes people have to help themselves too.I don't know if it is just his job that is getting him down but if he thinks he may have depression a visit to the doctor is the best idea. Also if he does have depression you will not be able to make him enjoy life or look at the postives. When you are suffering from depression you just can't no matter how much you want to.0
