Once you step outside your AI holiday camp Cyprus starts to get expensive.

My partner and I were in Ayia Napa in June this year, wouldn't say it was expensive. We normally go to Greece and found Cyprus just as cheap.

You could find a €2 pint of beer easy enough and plenty of restaurants doing set menus of 3 courses for around €12 per head.

Thanks for all of the replies. I have been researching this evening, I am going to continue to research on Tripadvisor and see the best place for our money

Did you find anywhere reasonable? We're also looking to go away in October somewhere hot but we have 3 children and want all inclusive.

    Hi Copels,

We haven't booked anything yet...still looking. We are looking at the Antalya and Side area in Turkey (there are some nice hotels at reasonable prices), also been looking at Corfu...

Looking to get something booked in the next couple of days, just trying to find the best deal for our money..

    How are you getting on?
  • Can reccomend the Side area of Antalya. Some excellent AI hotels for all budgets there, and the beaches are lovely. Try and get a day flight.... or prebook a late checkout on the system before you go if needed, its much cheaper, some charge 10 euros an hour...
Thomsons do a late checkout option on some of their hotels. Please check reviews though.... some are grim.
My reccs for hotels are The Sentido Paloma Perrissia, Hemera, Sunrise queen and Melas hotels.
I'm off to Colakli just up the road from that area in 3 weeks.....:j Weather is usually great, although take a light jacket or sweater for evenings....
    04.06.12 no debt:beer:
Now house deposit saving £24,000 and rising:T thanks to 2x Barclays PPI successes
  • I can definitely recommend the Canaries in October. Or even Madeira where October can be considered a summer month, but with cooler nights.
