Sainsburys Brand Match Thread! Starts Wednesday!

I did weekly shop today I deliberately bought two 4 tins of Branstone beans as I know Asda sell them for £1 and Sainsburys sell them for £2. It said on receipts we saved £11 but I did not get a voucher. I asked at the desk they said that its on the whole shop of branded goods, she said its like a scales you win on one loose on others. I thought if you but something and it was cheaper at the other two shops you got the difference if that applied to several branded items you got a voucher0

My bill came to £22.08 minus staff discount (15% for next two weeks:j:j:j) which is 18.77.
Got a thing to confirm I saved £13.57.
It includes reduced items as well.
The branded items I bought were:
. J20 4 bottle pack - £2. T £3.46 A £3
. 2 x Pepsi Max 2l bottles £2 all stores had same offer
. Soft and Gentle 250ml deodrant - £1.27 T £2.54 (BOGOF) A £2.60
. 2 x Kit Kat Pop Choc £2 for 2 bags T and A £3.78
. 2x Ye Olde Oak Hot Dog tins. Being discontinued at the store 40p. T - £1.96 A - £1
. Golden Grahams (so missed these!) £1.50 T- £2.19 A - £2.18
. Oreo Choc Cream (for my friend who is recovering from an op) 99p T - same A- £1.10
. Listerine Total Care 500ml - £2 T&A - £4
. Innocent Veg Pots - in the reduced for 95p each and are on BOGOF. T&A 2 for £5
. PG Tips The Fresh One £2 - T £2.69 A £2.
The £13.57 is BEFORE my staff discount. So with that is actually £15.61.0 -

What happens if you take something back? they can hardly take part of your voucher back.
Going out to rebuy my items to get max voucher.
Phoned customer services to say that I would still have been able to buy those items cheaper elsewhere - 'that is your choice' she said.
If you return something, you don't need to return the coupons issued such as the petrol coupon as according to Sainsburys, you could have used it on your way home after the shopping.
My friend's dad (no connection with Sainsburys) bought a £58 microwave and a few bits to make it £60 so he could have a petrol coupon. Returned the microwave a few days later after used the coupon. He saved about £6 on fuel and it only cost him £2.0 -
My colleague phoned me saying a customer thought the piece of paper saying 'you have saved £x.xx' was the money off coupon!
The thing said she saved something like £15 and she accused my colleague of being a liar!
If the thing doesn't have a barcode, it's not a voucher!
I wonder how many customers in other stores have tried to do this?0 -

I got one of the Vouchers when it started saying i had saved so much but the staff member on the till told me that i had that to spend on my shop and i said no as it was saying that i had saved so much but she would not hear any of what i was saying lol0 -
If you buy branded goods at Sainsburys and its cheaper else where they deduct the saving from your bill BUT if is cheaper at Sainsburys than the other two they take that into account and you in effect pay the higher price. Its a very misleading0

And I wonder how many Sainsburys staff have handed over the savings slip to the customer telling them, ohhhhh look, you have a voucher like I got.
That was after providing the worst ever customer service.0 -

I just hand over the savings slip with the receipt and any other till spits all together.
I do highlight to customers if they actually got a coupon as some may just bin them. I say 'here's your receipt and have £3.46 off your next shop'0 -
Hmmm, I just had to buy a 300g jar of Nescafe Original - £7.58. It's only £5 in Asda (but not one near me) Anyone know why I didn't get a £2.58 voucher? Is there a minimum spend?
"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0
