Hi guys,
Thought it would be an excellent idea to start a thread for the new
SAINSBURY'S BRAND MATCH :T
Currently it's only being trialled in Northern Ireland but my guess is it will be very popular! Hopefully it will be across the UK shortly! - EDIT: It's now national!!!

I guess those of you from N.I will have to educate us when it comes over here! How exciting - make a change from Mr.T's!!

"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

Normally when we're used to trial things, it can only be bad news (paying for shopping bags in M&S, fortnightly bin collections) but this could be fun.
Sainsburys isn't my local but I'll try anything once

Apparently the TV crews will be turning up at one of the Northern Ireland stores today as well so if you're out shopping make sure you've brushed your hair! :rotfl:"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0

See, Tesco, they're coming to get you.
Methinks you should bring back Price Check DTD in response!
Or failing that, some other lame brain knee jerk reaction that we can all cash in on.0 -
Sounds like they've learnt a few lessons from Tesco so it should be good!

Holywood Exchange.
"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." Oh yeah, this sounds good :money:
Just got a Sainsburys mailing this morning with a few £6 off £60 vouchers as well. :T

Damn, my earlier post disappeared!
What I was saying was there are some good and bad things about the deal. I can't be bothered to retype but the main problem was the fact that certain promotions are excluded such as multibuy offers that include non-branded products. I take this to mean if Tescos is doing 3 for 2 on all biscuits, including own brand, it won't include the deal even if only buy McVities! Hopefully that is the case but it cuts down on the opportunities for price matching. This is on top of the £20 minimum spend and the 10 item max purchase.
The good thing is it matches the cheapest price, ASDA or Tesco which is nice and it looks at each item rather than the whole basket. In Tesco's, if you have a basket that's £3 cheaper in ASDA but you have one item that's £3 more expensive in ASDA they will give you nothing. If I've understood, Sainsbury's won't penalise you for this ,they have other ways of doing that

Has anyone done any shopping in sainsburys to-day to see how it went.
:(Why do i never get any mailings with money off
£5 a day challenge april £338 /£1500 -
I was at the Sprucefield Sainsburys this afternoon, but didn't know anything about the promotion until I got my receipt at the till. Wasn't a full shop as I don't normally shop at Sburys, but I only needed a few things.
My brand match receipt said:-
"We just checked our prices and offers on the brands in your basket against those of Tesco and Asda. You'll be glad to know you saved £1.50 with Sainsbury's."
So no brand match money off voucher for me
- I did get a £4 off £40 spend till spit though. Would need to do a bit of investigating before next shop I think!!! 0 -
I like that Sainsburys will automatically print the coupon for you, and you get it instantly - you could go straight back to the aisles to spend your coupon!
