Hi guys

My contract with O2 ended a few months ago but I kept it waiting for the new BlackBerry Bold 9900 to come out.
Has anyone tried it yet? What are your thoughts?

Do you think I should go for it or wait for the new iPhone 5?

Any good deals I should look at out there for the BB 9900? I don't mind leaving O2

Thanks

Looks like Iphone 5 is coming out October 7th . If you can wait for it... would be my personal choice.

Announced in September, released in October.

My personal preferance would be to wait for the iPhone 5 as I don't like BB, but that's just my personal preferance. Perhaps wait for the reviews of both phones?

If it's mainly for business and e-mails I would always go for the BB.

If it is for general media content, then I think the iphone will win.

Given that the Iphone range are touch screen devices with a totally different market profile from BB's it's like asking whether you should get a 4x4 or a sports car.

How can anyone possibly advise you, other than to reinforce, as above, it's horses for courses.

Decide what you want to use it for, consider whether you want to use it as a mini Ipad with phone facilities or a device that is predominantly for the email market.

When you have decided, then forget both of them and get a decent Android device! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I know it's the constant battle between BB and iPhone with Android often coming as winner.

I've been using BB these years and for my needs it was fine but I'm one of those who is always keen to try different things.

Maybe I'll wait another month to see what's new for the iPhone 5 and then decide.

Although my old BB is now well overused and not working properly.

I think people need to remember that the iPhone 4 is over a year old now, whilst the latest Android handsets are much more recent, and imo still only just about on par with the iPhone. I believe that when the iPhone 5 is released, Apple will once again distance itself from the competition.

    Just my opinion.
  • I just ordered my Blackberry Bold 9900 on O2 - I was until now an iPhone 4 user. Prior to getting an iPhone 4 I was a blackberry loyalist but switched to Apple as they were advancing whilst rim wasn't as much. But.....this beauty is something else - a super sleek device with full qwerty keypad(for those long emails, messages etc) and a incredibly fast and responsive touch screen - what more can you want. Sure apple will launch an iPhone 5 soon and it will be incredible but trust me if you are like me in that you are looking for productivity and communication then this is the device for you. If you feel you will be using apps all the time ( I found that I didn't use 80% of the apps I downloaded) then the iPhone 5 is for you - blooming angry birds slowed the world down and is partly the reason why we are in a recession (that's a joke by the way) lol!
