Which phone has the best ringtone capability? I am not bothered about photo's, and all the latest junk, but I would like a phone that does the following well.
Great ringtone capability. Download MP3 from the computer and set it as a ringtone?
Plays games.
Easy texting. Simple. ???

I have the k700i SE, v600 and v80 Moto and the d500 all have mp3 ringtones which sound great and if you get the software you can have just about anything as your ringtone i know there are others but i can only judge on what i know also there are many sites offering loads of games for the k700 and the moto range althout the d500 is a better phone and has good text memory there are still only a few games out there for it ok its still quite new.

    The nokia 6230 by far
If you download a wave editor from the net, copy and paste your mp3 to a different folder, then you can use the wave editor to take any part of any song and make it your ringtone.
The phone is easy to add anything too and you can keep all your added files on the memory card that comes with the phone so if you want to you can either take the memory card out and transfer mp3's etc via a card reader or use the infa-red or blue tooth built into the phone. It is like having an i-pod,a camera,a video camera,a pocket radio, a gameboy and a phone all in one :)
(The memory card is a 32gb standard but you can add a different card up to 1 meg if you wished to have that many mp3's/photo's/etc stored on your card)

    Agree with the above

    Nokia 6230

    why? It has expandable media

You can buy bigger MMC cards which will give plenty of storage FOR lots of tones

It supports a variety of files including mp3 and .wav and is very user friendly too

connectivity to a PC is very easy to find in the form of a card reader

Also..... Search google 'audacity' freeware programme which lets you play with files.. cutting cropping, fade in/out. converting into different file formats altering Bit rates!!

6230 will also come down in price soon as the 6230i is due to be launched anytime soon
if i had known then what i know now
