Less than 2 hours ago picked up from Sainsbury's
4 x Beef brisket joints 800-900 gms at £1.50 per kg.
2 fillet steaks weighing 320 gms each for 2.20 each.
2 pork fillets 1 kg each for £1.45 each.
1 boneless leg of lamb 1.60 kg for £4.00.
Still plenty of other things available on the fresh meat counter but was more than happy with my basket

My best ever food bargain was 2p for a large prawn mayo layered salad in Asda and best non food bargain was a set of kids metal gardening tools and a knee rest for 2p each
I usually manage to get my bread rolls for lunchboxes for the week at Asda reduced to 10p - got some lush roasted onion granary ones this week, really enjoying those!Trying very hard to be frugal and OS - just plodding on and doing my best!

A huge leg of lamb from Waitrose once marked at £15 ( I was suspicious it was lamb at first as it was so big!)
Down to £2.50
Also I always freeze milk SS & Skimmed it lasts longer in the winter and is great for porridge etc.
I regularly buy Organic milk on the cheap as it does'nt seem as popular as regular, probably due to price!0 -
I once got some walls sausages which were supposed to be £2.27 for 8, scanned at 99p then went through bogof so got 32 sausages for £1.98!
last night I went down to tescos and got a warbutons loaf for 15p and a bag of potatoes for 22p.
walked across to sainsburys and got 2 packs of chicken goujoins for 15p, 2 packs of fruity fingers for 15p, 4 fresh eclairs for 15p, prawn cocktail for 15p, pack of 2 pork chops for 20p, some sandwiches for between 20p and 40p each, bag of carrots for 10p, some other stuff and I added it up that the original price would have been £27.20 but paid £2.45 for the lot!0 -
3 x 2pk chicken breasts, reduced to 40p each, multibuy kicked in so I was paid £1.20 to take them away.:starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:0

I got paid around £4 to take away 2 large packs of smoked salmon once in Sainsburys. Had to go round the shop to get the total back to 1p
