we're having a DJ. Just that.
People will get a dance, few drinks, chat and then homeski :)

tbh, I don't see why they would need anything else to entertain them, unless you have loads of kids who might want party bags or board games or something.
I don't see the point of all these other 'add-ons' at weddings, to me the point is the vows, the promising to spend the rest of your life together in front of friends and family, then a meal and a disco/band. Weddings are getting too OTT and extravagant nowadays.

But of course that's only my opinion, you should do what suits you :)

We're having a laptop instead of a DJ for music, then we'll have giant snakes and ladders (which we will be borrowing for free!) and we're going to take and set up our Nintendo Wii and PS3, with Rock Band. Having had so many nights fun out of it we can't wait to play it with everyone at the wedding :D OH is even talking about doing a 'first Rock band' instead of a first dance ;)
I was also thinking of putting a pack of cards on each table.
So we won't be spending any money on the entertainment at all but hopefully people will have a good time.

Oh that sounds a really good idea! We've collected a pack of playing cards from every holiday we've been on together. They would have been a great table entertainment (as long as noone walked off with them) but unfortunately we're not having any tables!

We are planning on having a small fireworks display after our Wedding Breakfast at approx. 10pm

For during our afternoon down time I was planning on a few small games such as a homemade Mrs & Mrs Game like of the tv. See how well our guests (and ofcourse the new Mr & Mrs) know each other for a giggle!
