What are you having as entertainment?

What are you having as entertainment?

Video Guestbook Kiosk / video booth
photo booth
candy buffett
choc fountain
magician

Im looking for somthing for the evening fun and no more than £100 so that puts nearly all these out of my budget lol.

I have seen a way of making my own photo booth im not sure its going to work out cost effective though?

What are you lot doing? x

Music & chit chat is the main entertainment (garden party - no disco).

But I have got Mölkky (aka Smite, a Finnish throwing game kinda like 10 pin bowling) and will get a giant jenga for kids and the young at heart to play.

I'm hoping to have a blackjack table and roulette table, as we went to a wedding with one the other day and they kept us entertained for ages!!!

They are expensive to hire, but you could quite easily set up a blackjack table yourself if you knew someone who could wear a black dinner suit and count to 21?! hehe Then collect some sets of poker chips and perhaps hire/borrow a green cloth to go over a table.

We're having a band. It's one of the things I definitely wanted (as opposed to a DJ), but it's proving difficult to find the right one.

Me and my OH have different musical tastes, but we'll find a compromise somewhere!

We also want to hear them play before booking them, but as most do only private functions and weddings this hasn't been possible.

Also having a "surprise" of a Chinese lion dance (my origins are Chinese). Not quite sure about the logistics, but the initial plan is for this to be after the speeches.

You could try Function Junction for starteds, we had a look there initially & they have loads of different styles.
In the end though, we went on reccommendation & went with a friend of a friends band.

One thing I will say is although you have your own tastes, and although it's a bit cliche, going for a traditional wedding band is usually best, as they will bang out the cheese that will get people dancing.

We are having a blues brothers tribute band for the evening entertainment. Also thinkin of putting some kind of small puzzle or game on the tables, and we are having a quiz after the speeches! It's not going to be a weddingy quiz, but general knowledge etc, but all our family loves quizzes! Those are great fun and free!
