Hello

It's actually a friend who's selling her Samsung S5620 and she's trying to delete messages/emails etc and not sure how to remove all the data.

I think she manually removed her contacts but is there an easy way to remove all the data?

Thanks

sunni

  • There should be a 'restore factory settings' option. This should remove everything, leaving it as a 'new' phone would be when you bought it. :)

Under settings, there's 'reset settings' then you can select 'phone profiles', 'display and light', 'phone settings' I'm sure I can reset all these?
  • Yes, phone profiles and phone settings should be what clears everything. the others are just personal preferences. Advise your friend to double check e-mails etc are clear once it's done to make sure :)

Maybe this is abit silly but when emails are deleted from her phone will they be deleted from her mail account, think she uses gmail?
  • Hmmm. I wouldn't think so, but am not 100% sure. Maybe she could test by deleting one manually, then checking on her computer? :)

No they will not be deleted from gmail - simply from the phone (as long as you do a factory reset rather than go in the email app and delete the emails one by one).
