How long will a chicken carcass that's been frozen keep for?

    It depends on the star rating of your freezer - but three to six months is usually a minimum "still OK" time.

    It will be absolutely fine for making stock. In truth there is no time limit on how long something that has been correctly frozen will keep safely, but over time the texture can break down (freezer burn) making it less enjoyable (but not unsafe) to eat.

    As you won't actually be eating the carcass any loss of texture is irrelevant and the stock that you will obtain will be just as delicious! :)
