Thanks for all your good wishes for the baby, off to see her this evening. It had to be my first day back at work for 6 weeks today or I would have snook up there earlier! I will take lots of photos so will share them later. BBird and BitsyB of course you can be my friend!
Congratulations. Want to see photos!:DGC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
Oh Camelot can I be your friend too?
Im back from appointments and they were very stressful:( Anyway done and dusted so just need to forget them and move on with my life.
Trying to relax now and hopefully get a good nights sleep tonight (well we live in hope)!!I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Howdy all,
Having a little MSE related skive at work againIn fairness, I do work proper hard to afford a swift skive but still.
I made a really nice dinner and lunch (for two) from a pack of Aldi frying steak last night and a jar of seasoning from a Chinese supermarket, some salad leaves knocking about and a pair of part baked baguettes.
We've got some new fuel for our stove (a super duper version of antracite) and honestly, the way it burns, I could have cooked myself by standing about a foot away.
This is cheaper than the old fuel we used and so I'll be chuffed come winter although I couldn't sleep last night from feeling like I was in the Sahara but at least we had hot water to wash up with.
Tonight, I'm setting up a household notebook folder that someone in a meal planner thread suggested to try and help me get proper organised and help give me a bit of motivation.
Monnagran, thanks so much for that quote, it's a cracker. I'll take your advice and stick it pretty much everywhere :money:And definately next to the picture I have of a paramedic jumpsuit on the fridge. The idea of that outfit has me doing lunges and squats all the time!
Camelot, congratulations on the granddaughter! How exciting and what a lovely name.
BeTheBee, thanks for the welcome. Much appreciated.
I hope everyone is well and if not well, have a big mental hug vibe from me
Much love,

Congrats to Camelot, BB's Hubby, and everyone else who deserves it!
I am home, walked pup and went to waitrose, i love their reduced items, I should have spent £12.71 but the total was£6.64 - got a 50 piece party platter of scotch eggs, sausages and sausage rolls for 99p! instead of £4.99 - ideal for snacky bits for OH's lunch.
Dinner tonight is some reduced chorizo styles sausage whirls with mini potato thingys - i've completely forgotten what they are called.
Was going to clean the bathroom, but things are still trying to dry in there.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

I may throttle OH soon! Have just had to retrieve lots of recyclable rubbish from the kitchen bin, wash it and put in recycling bin. Have only told him 6 times now that the rubbish collections changed, and now green wheelie bin for normal rubbish will only be emptied once a fortnight. He has always been terrible at putting tins and glass out for recycling, but needs to do it now or we will be overflowing with rubbish by Tuesday!RIP Iain
