Exactly that. Some vehicles suffer incredible vibration after a flywheel swap, in fact I'd go so far as to say "outright shaking" rather than "vibration". IMO I'd stick to the original spec.
i think it all depends what car you have and what SMF kit you fit.
for example the VW PD engine was around before DMF became standard fit yet they never suffered any more vibration than normal.
If you fit a decent quality balanced SMF like valeo,sachs i cannot see any reason for it to cause excessive vibration personally,having said that if your particular engine was designed with DMF in mind not having one could cause some vibration due to diffeent flywheel characteristic/weight?????
I think it is a case of you pays your money and takes your chance.0
