Sat 6th Jan: Guardian guide to Free Stuff (and how to get it free)

Options
This Saturday (6th Jan) the Guardian newspaper comes with a supplement called 'The guardian guide to Free Stuff'. OK, the supplement itself isn't exacly free as you have to buy the paper to get it (see my edit below for how to get it free), but I have just been sitting on the loo working my way through this excellent 89 page guide - firstly cynical that I wouldn't find anything I didn't already know, then pleasantly surprised at the huge amount of ideas that were new to me.

For anyone interested in getting free stuff (and/or recyling/reusing etc.) this supplement alone would be worth buying the paper for - or borrowing from someone who already gets it.

The sections included are:

Living (freebie websites, swap parties etc.)
Food
Arts
Fashion & Beauty
Travel
Learning
Activities & Sport
Festivals
Children
Access (i.e. footpaths etc.)
Internet

Actually - just editing to say that I remember reading somewhere in the main section of the paper that there is a phone number to call to request any supplements that are missing from your paper. When I can retrieve that section of the paper from my DH I will re-edit this post to include the phone number - That way, anyone who wants to could simply call and request a copy of the guide to Free stuff - for Free!

2nd edit: To request 'missing sections' Phone 0800 839 100 from saturday until 6pm Monday or 0800 839 110 8.30am to 6pm other days. How nice of them to give us a freephone number to get a free section about getting stuff for free!

£1.40 for the whole newspaper - including the 'free stuff' guide and the usual other sections such as 'the guide' which is the full week TV/cinema/entertainment guide

But if you just want the free stuff guide - call the free number in my OP and say that you have bought the paper and this section was missing.
