Glad to be back! And to share my NEW lightbulb moment

And thank you all for the positive comments/reminders. I did start off on MSE full of zeal las year: I posted my SOA & changed gas/electric suppliers, checked all our DD's - as I didn't even know what some of them were! I was on track to start getting massive debts down but then disaster struck. Our business took a nose-dive & for the last few months the income has not even covered our outgoings. I've had to sell, sell, sell to prevent us going under & sadly have taken out yet another loan to make sure we did not sink. The business SHOULD start to recover & I still have plenty left to sell, so I am lucky in that respect but sad that I am no nearer getting the debt down than before.

I do know what a lot of the problem is - I go on eBay to sell - & I BUY too. I watched a TV programme the other night about a guy who spent all his money on designer clothes & had cupbaords full to busting with the stuff. I was commenting on him & then suddenly realised I am the same - only WORSE because at least he went out places & wore the stuff. I don't go anywhere hardly, it just fills up the cupboards....oh BTW it is not exactly desginer stuff that I have, but plenty of expensive clothes!

Sorry for the long post, but I just hope that some of you can understand this, & maybe we can support each other collectively.

    Sasha

    * Sent Hubby out this morning for overtime
    * Told hubby to sort out stuff for ebay
    * Went to local shop for loaf of bread (I know more expensive, but we get through a loaf a day, and I'll always end up buying more if I go to a supermarket - apart from that NSD
Proud to be dealing with our debts - We WANT to be debt free DEC 09

I am just defrosting some broccoli soup I made a while ago, for lunch.
It's been sitting there for over a month now waiting to be eaten but I didn't really like it when I made it so...I've been ignoring it!

However I've decided today is the DFW Day it gets troughed. I'm sure I won't enjoy it but hey, it's food!!

I bought The Guardian with the 'Free Stuff' supplement. Well actually persuaded DH to go to the shop to buy it, so saved myself £1.40...very MSE!

    Having a good day today:

Decided to make some bread - proving at the moment - as we were horrified by the price of a loaf today in the shops.

Have also written cheques to clear all of OH's overdraft and some of the joint account overdraft. Going to transfer to my overdraft as it has a much lower rate of interest, will pop into town tomorrow and put through banks doors.

Have also defrosted a nice lot of chilli from the freezer for tonights dinner.

Lastly i have updated my new spending diary, with this weeks spending. Gonna try and do this all month. Usually give up half way through.
    What's he building in there???
Debt at highest £30,450 (Dec 05)
    Debt at lowest £9, 113 (Jul 07)
How much did we over spend whilst on maternity leave

Sorted through 6 years of bank statements for 2 accounts, all now filed in date order and checked all DDs etc while I was on

Lunch is gravy from last nights stew with a bread roll, and it's yummy!

Washing machine on, trying soap nuts this time :)

Going to do freezer/fridge list now to do meal plans :) using what I have in before buying of course and write a shopping list of only things I definately need.

Sold something on eBay so will list another :) (making sure I don't have a mountain to sort on posting day which leads to mistakes I have found)

Pleased as DP can't work today as Taxi is broken and all the parts places are shut :(
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200

The MSE thing I have done today is post my referral link for Freefivers on the referral board. Fingers crossed someone will click on it and join the site thus earning me a few extra pounds. So far posting my referral links as part of this daily challenge has been successful thanks to hamish222 & geordie joe. :T

I am also debating whether or not to join the 2007 Olympic Challenge which starts tomorrow. Being challenged really helps motivate me to do things which I would normally put off doing for another day.

    Hi everyone
A no spend day for me as I've stayed in and started a monster spring clean
Also filling the Ebay box as I go - which has now also started breeding and taking up space in the wardrobe in the form of OH's unwanted shirts, clothes etc:eek:
Dyed my hair (v DFW as I bought 10 boxes of hair dye in the summer for a £1 each instead of the usual five quid-odd a throw. These are stored under my bed with about a million bog rolls from Macro. I hope I never have anyone look under the bed :rotfl: )
Was very tempted just now to go and get a take-away but have just put on a big pan of tomato and basil sauce instead (some for later, some for the freezer).
    Love Sas x:T
