6.1.07 What small DFW/MSE thing have you/will you do today?

Good Morning!

Yesterday I added up what I had paid off so far this year and amended my signature accordingly - seeing the figure go down was motivation indeed!

Today I will get something else on ebay and will turn my thermostat down on the central heating - someone here says that you can save £70 a year for every degree you turn down! Worth putting on an extra jumper methinks!

Whatever you do today, make sure you do just one small DFW thing - it will all add up!

    Morning...first post for months...

I WILL put some things on eBay today.....am a terrible procrastinator .....BTW can you help with the Flyady thread I found late last night & can't locate again please???? TIA if you can....

Also, I am going to try & face up to things, from starting with MSE last year & then going downhill, I need to motivate myself because things are getting very much out of hand now.

Don't mean to sound depressed but it helps to write it down.....I seem unable to get it together & need a good kick!

  • Bought xmas wrapping paper for this christmas in Asda for 49p a roll - reduced from £1.98.
Aplied for a Tesco clubcard. I don't go there very often as I normally go to Asda or on occasion Sainsburys but decided I should have a clubcard even for the few times I do go, as the points will slowly add up!

    Hi all

First, Sashanut - no kicks, but support, I still haven't posted an SOA but I can see the level of control over our own lives that we can get through coming on here. I've certainly started, I guess I'm in the position you were in last year when you first came on. This thread that hypno started is brill, keeps me very focussed.

So, today.... just a few internet searches, I think. I'm kind of having a day off too - going to London for the day, to a production I wanted to see years ago, and is on now for a 6 week run. :j but at least the tickets are at the cheaper end, and restricted view (can't see the top of the scenery). Thats *kind of* DFW, isn't it?:rotfl:

No good at posting links, but if you head over to the Moneysaving Old Style board, flylady - new year thread is on there. Hope that helps!

We are checking through the cupboards and freezer to make sure we use the 'excess' food we bought for Christmas. No need to buy meat as my wife stocked up when they reduced all the joints, in ASDA, to 50p last week.
Should at least 'halve' this week's shopping bill. :j :j

I'm going to the library to pick up a book that was recommended reading for a professional course I am taking. Cost £.25 reservation fee vs. £29.95 on amazon. :) If it turns out to be very useful, I may want to purchase it anyway, but at least it will be an informed purchase.
