Has anyone used Medici Travel Insurance? Or can you recommend an insurer for a 60-plus year old with a minor heart condition? Just for a week in France, but it's proving surprisingly tricky. Thanks.

This company was recommended by another member, I took out an annual policy with them today. Looks good to me.

Thanks, but oddly they won't cover anything diagnosed within the last 12 months, so wouldn't cover my husband.0 -
That is true, but if you are prepared to accept that the illness in the past year is NOT part of the policy, you will be covered for any other illness. It just depends if you think there could be a problem with his latest illness? When man sacrifices the Love of POWER for the Power of Love, there will be peace on earth.0

He was in rude health until an MOT discovered a heart murmur which he might well have had all his life, but no-one is certain, and he's being investigated.0 -
Flexicover were VERY expensive for us! for both of us almost £350 for the annual policy!!!
yes we have pre-existing conditions but are well controlled and we have never ever claimed.
This policy is obviously not for the over 65's! even if they are healthy. When man sacrifices the Love of POWER for the Power of Love, there will be peace on earth.0 -

I used Columbus direct, they have a medical section you fill in online & adjust your quote to suit, I found them the cheapest for a family holiday policy to the US, you can also get an additional 16% cashback by going through top cash back first http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/bri1
