Oooooh your photo's are so lovely. I'll have to live vicariously as we will never go there thanks to my flying phobia. I have promised the kids Disneyland Paris in a couple of years though as we can go by train for that.

Hope no one minds another pic, but this is my favourite from when we went in 2003 (we only have a holiday every 3 years, live really frugally inbetween, but have a wonderful holiday when we do go!!!) its not the best colour, but it sums up the magic we had on the holiday. I dont think you can see DDs face very well, but its a memory that will live with me forever, her little face just lit up, as Minnie gave her a kiss.

We still have her Minnie outfit and ears, even though it doesnt fit her now!!!
Thought i would add, my 2 arnt twins, even tho they are the same height now!!! DD is 19 months younger than DS.

Hi Donna poor thing she will be itchy soon she was contagious for about a week before the spots appeared and will be until they have ALL crusted over to help ease the itching I got some medium oatmeal or porridge oats put some in the leg of an old pair of tights with a knot tied in the end and put this in the bath it makes it go a milky white let her squeeze it over herself and this helps bless her (((((big hugs))))

They are contagous (sp) for a week before, and for about a week after infection (when the spots have dried up). Normally its a week off school, and then they are fine to go back.
Hope she will be ok, you could get some piriton in case she gets itchy (my doctor prescibed some for us) and i found the tubes of calomine mixed with some sort of moisturiser/gel (sorry, cant remember what, but the chemist would know) was much better and less itchy than normal calomine.

Dlb :rotfl: that's so cool! You've got a lovely brood and I am a little (in a nice way) envious of you having four, I'd love to have more :). I hope dd gets over the 'pox.

Thanks Taplady he's a couple of years older now and is going to be a little heartbreaker when he's older but he's got a heart of gold too :)

Joannasmum - one of the best things about holidays (and Disney) is the anticipation of it. I think kids need to be at least 5 or 6 to fully appreciate it, you sound very sensible to wait a bit.

Catowen - Aww.. your kids look so lovely (I won't say sweet 'cos your ds probably won't like it!), my ds would have loved to have seen Cars there.

Essex girl and Amie have a fantastic time when you do go.

Yes, they are character breakfasts/lunch and dinners - more expensive but normally nicer food (lots of it too!!!) and the characters come round for autographs and pictures. they normally have some sort of ceremony during the time as well. Its just something else thats special to do while you are there!!!!
  • Hi there,

Loving all the Disney photos. Is there anything better than seeing absolute joy on a child's face? BTW they are all going to be heart-breakers when they grow up. Gorgeous children.

Last year XDH and I gave our DS and DD the chance of Florida for 2 weeks or New York for 5 days. They chose NYC. (I was happy with their decision btw - don't like XDH enough to spend 2 weeks with him. :rotfl: )

Haven't loaded the pics on my pc but my avatar shows DS and DD in Central Park with the skyline behind them. If I can post some more pics I will. We all enjoyed it soooooo much. DS wants to be a film director and as a special treat I booked tickets for him and me to go to the concert of John Williams's film music. It was presented by Steven Speilberg and Martin Scorcese and John Williams conducted the orchestra!!!!! He was in heaven and still rates it as the best day of his life. DD and XDH went to a Broadway show of the Wedding Singer and absolutely loved it too. I would love to go back some day, finances permitting.

Hope all of you hoping to visit Florida this year have a fabulous time. I'm sure you will make memories to last you a lifetime.
