Negative moisture indicators don't mean they'll do it under warranty I'm afraid. If corrosion is present regardless, they'll know it's been in water.

It does sound like it's a bit !!!!!!ed in all honesty. Desires arent too expensive now however, you could also have a look at a handset that has a cracked screen and being sold for spares / repairs on ebay. If you're confident your screen is good it should be a case of swapping them over - which shouldn't be too difficult.

Well, when you have 95p left to last the fortnight they are amazingly expensive :rotfl:

If I was to call and make a warranty claim and they decided that there was water damage then what would happen? Its on Voda btw

They will ask you to pay for the repair if it is repairable.
You can deal directly with HTC if you want.

    Hi catflea,

Unfortunately if a handset is water damaged it will not be covered by your warranty. If you take it in to a store, they can send it off to get a quote for the cost of a repair.

If you need any further help, feel free to contact me directly via email to the address here with WRT135 FAO Heidi in the subject. We can then take a look at the alternative options for you. Please also include a link to this thread in your email.

    Kind regards,
