Orange contract finishes next week

I am looking to get a Sim card as I rarely use my mobile now.I don't anything about them as I have always been on contract with Orange.
I want one that lets you buy credit without any limits on the time it has to be used, is that possible as I only envisage spending £10 per month?

tesco mobile ( 02 network) do sim only at £7.50 a month! thats 250mins and 5000 txt a month.
  • Giffgaff might be suitable for you. You can choose either pay as you go and stick with credit only or use you credit to buy a 'goodybag' that contains a set number of minutes/texts/data.

It does come with a health warning though! Whilst they are part of the same company as 02 they don't have call centres so you have to do everything through their website and forum which is not for everybody. Depending on where you bought your phone you may also need to get it unlocked or buy an unlocked, 02 or tesco handset.

Normally the credit has no time limit if you make at least one chargeable call every 180 days.

For a better advice on the provider/tariff you have to post your monthly spending in terms of minutes+texts, not ££. Sim-only contracts start from £1 p.m for 25m+50t.

It doesn't finish unless you have given them 1 month notice already.

Got a good deal from Orange after threatening to leave.
    Sim only
    keep my number
    100 mins unlimited texts
    £4.90 per month.
As I don't use a mobile much and rarely send texts this suits me admirably. It is on a 30 day roll-over contract, can be cancelled at any time.

Orange contract finishes next week.. It does if you called/wrote cancelling it last month, they are minimum term contracts and they can keep it running if you don't serve notice on them to cancel.
