Don't forget to also account for the extra memory you'll need. Custom PC magazine has done some testing on Vista and reckon you will need 2GB of memory if you want to play any serious games on your PC.You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

Only problem is apparently the OEM versions only work once? If you ever format it'll never work again. can anyone verify this?0

Well new machines are going to come with 1gb ram genrall pc buyers dont really do gaming so it wont bother them you need the new tech and windows vista is not going to be a flop0 -

So, for a basic user.... Vista = good /bad? I've got XP on both a laptop and PC. It hurts my head just thinking of it all, is Vista an easy jump or another worthless costly update?:rotfl:0
