Metrobank exchange rate
mfg
I went into the Metrobank on Thurday and saw that they were selling Euros at 1.0986 and buying them at 1.1729 to the pound. However the mastercard exchange rate for that day was 1.137021.
Is there any explanation for the differences as there should not be any load fees? Thanks.

Just like anywhere, there is a big difference between buying Euros physically in a bank and taking them out of an ATM.
What are you thinking??0 -
It should be the same if Metrobank describe it as commission free inside the branch. Of course nothing is ever simple.
I would be content as long as the mastercard rate is applied at point of sale or when withdrawing from the ATM. Is this true? Thanks.0 -

Of course your first statement is nonsense.
But your second is correct. Full Mastercard rate when using their cards.0
