So do you have some prior knowledge of the OP's insurance? Some people get straightforward bills and can work out VAT! By the time this post ends, the OP has probably calmed down and got onto the site and downloaded their bill.
Neither of us have any knowledge of the bills (insurance was an example), in my opinion that means it isn't sensible to suggest 'working backwards' from the amount charged to the bank account.
In my experience, the last people you make assumptions with or do rough calculations is HMRC!0 -
Yesterday the online system did not want to show the bills ... today it does!0

Then whilst our usual standard of advice on cashback contracts generally comes uninformed it's even more worrying when you offer advice which should be of a better quality.0 -

Yeah sure there must be - to tell people where to get off whining!
Or teaching people how to download their bills on a monthly basis and keeping basic accounts or not getting worked up about vat returns which can be delivered by the end of the month. Is that aggressive enough for you?0 -

I never worry about you in the slightest; just the people you give bad advice to. The accounting profession has obviously gone downhill if you are qualified. Fortunately, I actually do understand the things you don't and have done my own accounts, VAT and taxation for the last 29 years without a hitch. I'd hate to have to actually pay someone so obviously incompetent and complacent to do that for me.0 -
