all varifocals have etchings on them both on the nasal and temporal sides, one side is the brand of the lenses and the other is the reading add of the lenses. There are also "marking up" circles on them.
It sounds like you need your heights adjusted or even your glasses, you aren't looking through the right area of your lenses.0 -
There are a few helpful optometrist-type bods on the health and beauty forum. Might be worth posting this there or asking a mod to move it for you.0

Hi,
Actually a move to the health and beauty board is a good idea (thanks pmduk) so I'll move the thread across...
Good luck

As previously stated all varifocal lenses have identification, alignment and reading addition engravings - some manufacturers marking are slightly easier to see than others, but they are always there. This is not what is causing your problems.
You need to go back to your opticians and let them know you are having problems. It doesn't take 6 months to adapt to a varifocal, you're usually looking at a 4 weeks max. They could be incorrectly measured/manufactured, need adjustment, the prescription could be wrong, you could need a different design of varifocal, or you might never like them (some people don't, no matter what we do).0 -
Theres an assistant in my sepecsaver and her eyesight is so keen she can read the markings on my contacts - where as I cant seen them even with a magnifying glass lol0
