I can understand the restrictions regarding neilson chartering a flight etc.

Just what I find grating is that they can offer ski's guaranteed passage or a refund on the flight but not a snowboard.

Some of the ski bags ive seen people take ,inc some of my friends are massive.

If you can get your snowboard in a ski bag with one ski, perhaps get one second hand ski off ebay or gumtree or somewhere and pack one ski and your snowboard in a ski bag and book it on as skis. BUT you would be riskiing it.

ive read a couple of forums that have mentioned that sometimes flybe do check the "ski" bags to make sure that do actually contain skis and not a snowboard

That's absurd. Surely what matters is the size (& weight) of the bag, not what's actually in it?
  • Ski Carriage is a massive issue for me! If anyone is still following this thread, here is my take: As a season worker I used a company called Piste of Mind last year, no weight limits is key for me. All went well, am in the process of booking again.

PS: Sideways is not a crime!
