Sorry to hear about your cat - never an easy thing.. if you can and its not to late - it may be worth bringing him home so that your other cats can see him - they will know that he's gone and it may help them in the next couple of weeks.

So sorry to hear of your loss. But take comfort in the fact your cat was loved and cared for to the end. Many animals never have such love. xxx0

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.
I dont know if this is an option for you, but when my little Charlie had to be put down and I brought her home and lay her on the spare bed overnight, the other cats went in the room, but in a very clever animal way, they didn't 'see' her at all, they just kind of accepted that she was only there in body but no longer there in spirit, and they didn't seem distressed at all.
I have also had a cat go missing and her sister really did seem distressed for a few weeks, but it did pass.
Thinking of you at this time, you did everything right and he is at peace now, and I hope that you can find comfort in your other cats.0 -
oh my heart goes out to you...it's so hard isnt it?
Cry as much as you need and want to....I know I did for a long time (in fact I still do after more than a year )
Yes your other cats might grieve ...each in their own way. I found the hardest part was dealing with my remaining cats distress....but they do get over it ..... just takes time dont rush it
big hugs

So sorry for your loss. We had to have our cat Spook put to sleep just over two years ago now, and I still miss her. Our other cat Geri is 14 now and I can't help wondering how much longer we had left with her (Spook was 13 when she got cancer). I sometimes feel like I can't bear to go through it again, but I know I will as there are so many beautiful cats needing homes.0

These posts make me so sad. Sorry to hear about your cat Essex Girl....
A couple of years ago I lost both my ginger mogs (brother and sister) within a year - they were 17 so a good age but as a family we were gutted
Our little cat died in similar circumstances to yours and I was so distraught hubby had to make the right decision. Light Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0 -

So Very Very Sorry.
The days will get easier, but part of you will always miss your friend, and thats what makes being a pet owner hard at these times. But thats the deal we choose, and the pact we make, when we take a little furry creature into our homes
Think about your pet often, and have a good blub, and laugh about the silly tricks, and have another good blub. But dont ever forget the good times.
Take care0 -
So sorry for your sad loss ((hugs)) x
It's early days and you need to allow yourself (and your other cats) time to grieve and adjust.
Keep your cat in your thoughts and make lots of fuss of the two still there with you - hopefully this will help to ease some of the pain for you all.:wave:A highly active brain needs feeding often
