    They may supply Netgear today but the make is actually unimportant! What is important is that it has an Ethernet 10/100BASE-TX port for connecting to a DSL/cable modem. Most ISP's supply more than one make of modem/router.

    Thats what he had and its ruddy awful as they will only supply the Netgear ME102 router and its really quite cheap and nasty.
