Need some help on this one please.
Ok a friend has blueyonder by telewest and the Motorola surfboard SB5100 modem, now the way he connects to his PC is via Ethernet and not USB.
So supply into modem is from telewest then out to PC using ethernet, now he would like a router that accepts a ethernet in supply and gives out 2 or more ethernet supplies to other PCs a bit like a ethernet hub but also has the capability of giving out 4 wireless signals.
I hope someone knows what im on about  and any links as to what hes looking for would be a big bonus.
Thank You.

Trust Expresso..
Any Cable/DSL wireless router will do it:
http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopSearch.asp?CategoryID=65
Cable needs a cable/dsl/broadband router, not ADSL which is for BT lines., PCW are xxxxwits.
The first part of these instructions refers to a Netgear adsl model, don't buy that one, but the rest of the content may be of use.

I'm on Telewest, although I've got a Scientific Atlanta dpx100 modem and I bought a Netgear WGR614 router which works perfectly. It has four ethernet ports for wired connections as well as wireless.
Telewest will actually supply a wireless router if you ask them, and the kit they supply is Netgear so if you get one you shouldn't have any problems at all. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
